Gustavo Petro the candidate confirmed on Sunday that he was the beneficiary who had been marked in polls for the past week.

The experts estimate that Petro's proposal to stop exploration for oil would cost Colombia approximately $4.3 billion.

This proposal also includes the creation of an anti-oil front across the region as well as around the globe that will help move the economy away from fossil energy sources. Petro's plan includes an economic model that isn't dependent on fossil fuels. It also suggests the extraction of hydrocarbons. However, Petro places more emphasis on agriculture.

He also said that he would pursue a tax reform to eliminate exemptions and transform the minimum wage concept into a real-world wage that is built on capital and income.
